Marketing and Outreach Assistant

Saugeen Valley Media’s mission is to provide high-quality video production and marketing services to rural Southern Ontario. We are a growing agency working with various municipalities, not for profits and charities.

We’re looking for a motivated and multi-talented Marketing & Outreach Assistant to join our team and help take our company to the next level. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to grow with our company, and we welcome recent grads or individuals looking for a new, dynamic role.

Responsibilities

Client Outreach & Sales Support

Research and identify potential clients (municipalities, non-profits, businesses)
Write and send personalized email outreach campaigns
Track email responses, follow up, and schedule meetings
Assist with basic proposal writing and presentations

Design & Digital Content

Create social media graphics and posters using Canva or Adobe Suite
Support with video thumbnails and reports
Maintain our visual consistency across platforms

Marketing Support

Assist with social media scheduling and light content writing
Help manage email newsletters and basic website updates
Support ad campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, Google)
Help create marketing plans for various clients

Admin & Project Coordination

Organize files, client folders, and project timelines
Support day-to-day coordination with clients and collaborators

Requirements

Graduated with a 2 year diploma or 4 year degree in Marketing or a related field of study.
Any amount of work related experience is considered an asset.
Strong design skills for digital and print media
A self-starter who’s excited to grow with a small company
Strong communication skills (written + verbal)
Comfortable with design tools like Canva (or Adobe Suite)
Familiar with social media platforms and email marketing tools
Organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once
Someone who enjoys solving problems and learning new skills

Bonus Skills (not required but nice to have):

Basic video editing (Premiere, Filmora, etc.)
Photography or camera interest
Experience running ads or analyzing ad performance

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed
